Title: Test Management Workshop

Description: ‘Test Management Workshop’ offers the fundamental management skills for people who lead or manage development and maintenance test efforts. It provides essential tools, important techniques, critical processes, and significant considerations in managing the testing process.
This is a two-day training course where the participants learn about the development and use of a test plan and a test system, make effective use of bug and test tracking tools/databases. Participants will gain people skills needed to define a test team, hire appropriate people, and keeping their team motivated. They will also learn how to manage the relationship of people with their peers and their managers specifically on presenting test findings.

Title: Regression Testing Using QuickTest – Starter Edition
Date: March 24 to 26, 2010
Description: This core course provides a comprehensive understanding on using QuickTest Professional 9.2 as an automated functional testing tool for different environments. You will use QuickTest Professional’s graphical point and click interface to record and play back tests, to add synchronization points and verification steps, and to create multiple action tests. You will also build upon fundamental topics by using debug tools to troubleshoot tests and by using additional checkpoints and product options to broaden the scope of business processes that can be automated. Once tests are created, you will discover and correct common record and play back problems. All topics are supported by hands–on exercises based on real-life examples.

Title: Fundamentals of LoadRunner and VuGen Scripting for the Web
Date: April 05 to 08, 2010
Description: The first module – Fundamentals of LoadRunner – will cover Controller and Analysis components of the LoadRunner. This course is your first step towards success as a LoadRunner expert, designed to give you a firm foundation in basic load testing tasks. In this class, you'll learn how to plan, create, and run a simple load test effectively and efficiently. Students will gain understanding of how the LoadRunner components work and interact with one another. Students will also learn how to interpret LoadRunner analysis graphs and achieve the set load testing goals. The lesson topics are reinforced with structured hands-on labs.
The second module – VuGen Scripting for Web – will cover the VuGen component of the LoadRunner. This course gives students an in-depth introduction to all aspects of script creation for load testing in Web environment. Students learn to record, organize the scripts using actions and add checkpoints to verify functionality under load. They also learn to troubleshoot the script they build by Parameterizing, Correlation, and adding custom code.

Description:The process-based functionality of TestDirector is examined in this hands-on course, with an emphasis on the Business Process Testing module. Title: Planning for Optimized Software Testing
Date: June 29 to 30, 2010
Description:This two-day course aims to discuss the use of measurement and metric tools as a defensible method to improve the test effort. It intends to describe and explain a different software testing method called Most Important Tests (MITs) using an optimized test document called Test Inventory. In addition, this course will discuss how to perform basic Risk Analysis, Basis Path Analysis, and Data Flow Analysis in a simple application. These are important techniques often used by the testing team in estimation, test case design, and measurement processes. Participants in this course will engage in activities wherein they can apply these methods and techniques and come up with a test effort estimation that is reliable, defendable and negotiable.
