Quality, Excellence, Top Performance, and Teamwork were the key elements in the success of the CheQ Team’s first year with the game testing project based in Austin, Texas.
The project, which had a team of 6, that kicked off in December 2007 has grown not only in number of testers but also when it comes to skills, performance and, of course, quality. The team has reached a headcount of 11 in a year’s time. Its anniversary was marked by a dinner get-together in UCC Cafe Paseo Center last December 18, organized by the client’s representatives, with the assistance of CheQ’s representatives -- Eden Hernandez, Aileen Alpajora, Malou Chan, and Wilma Sapalaran.
“We’d like to do something that would be special for the team,” said the client’s Outsourcing Lead. It was indeed a special occasion dedicated to them so the organizers made sure that everyone will be there. As expected, the event was attended by the whole team.
Dinner was good but the team did not expect that a better treat was in store for them. Exciting prizes were raffled off. The client also assured that everyone got a gift for a great job done in the past year. The client’s QA Manager expressed that he was very happy and excited to see all of them get rewarded because they really deserved it.
Fun gifts were also given to those who have been in the team for the past year. The substitute leads received presents, too.
The highlight of the activity was the awarding of the team members who have exemplified outstanding performances. Each one received a plaque of recognition and a very special gift from the client. Here’s the list of the awards and the recipients:
Quality Award: The Spirit of Quality – Dane Mathew Ferrer
Performance Award: Top Performer – Rus Ivan Syfargo
Excellence: Taking Our Team to New Heights in 2008 – Sherwin Soriano
During their visit, the game developer client has also shared the good news that the CheQ Testing Team will definitely become bigger this year.
Well wishes to the team as it takes on greater and more exciting challenges this 2009!
