
The Business Development Specialist will support CHEQ’s growth by identifying, developing, and managing business opportunities across various Business Development streams, including new client acquisition, account expansion, partnerships, and sales enablement.
The role requires a highly motivated, resourceful, and proactive individual who can work fast, communicate confidently with client managers and decision-makers, and contribute to strategies that create valuable opportunities for the company.
- Generate and develop new business opportunities through targeted lead generation, networking, referrals, social media, partnerships, and market research
- Support client acquisition, account expansion, and partnership-building initiatives as needed
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, including lead sourcing, client engagement, proposal preparation, follow-ups, negotiation support, vendor accreditation, and contract coordination
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client managers, decision-makers, and senior stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth transition from opportunity to fulfillment, including project kickoff, after-sales support, renewals, and commercial concerns
- Monitor client requirements, project-related concerns, SLA commitments, contract terms, and renewal opportunities
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on pipeline status, sales activities, client engagement, proposals, fulfillment progress, and other BD metrics
- Use Microsoft Office, CRM tools, AI tools, social media platforms, and other productivity tools to improve speed, quality, and effectiveness of BD work
- Contribute ideas, strategies, and solutions to help improve sales performance, market reach, and client engagement
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, IT, Computer Science, or any related four-year course
- With at least 2 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Client Acquisition, Account Management, Partnerships, or related work in a service-oriented industry
- Experience in IT, software, technology, consulting, outsourcing, or professional services is an advantage
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, lead generation, and relationship management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with CRM systems, AI tools, and social media platforms is an advantage
- Able to communicate professionally with client managers, decision-makers, executives, and internal stakeholders
- Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Resourceful and able to find ways to move opportunities forward without waiting to be told every step
- Smart, adaptable, and able to adjust quickly to changing priorities, client needs, and business strategies
