Quality Engineer Lead

Job Description:

- Lead Quality Engineering activities across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, quality standards, delivery timelines, and release readiness goals.
- Define and govern test strategies, test plans, test coverage, and quality assurance approaches throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Lead the execution of Functional, System, Integration, Regression, End-to-End (E2E), API, Performance, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Drive automation initiatives by establishing, maintaining, and improving scalable test automation frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed Quality Engineering practices and support continuous testing within Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD delivery models.
- Ensure effective management of test environments, test data, test execution, defects, and testing deliverables.
- Monitor and communicate testing progress, quality metrics, risks, issues, and release readiness indicators to stakeholders.
- Review and validate business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications to ensure adequate test coverage.
- Identify testing risks and recommend mitigation strategies to improve product quality and delivery outcomes.
- Mentor, coach, and develop Test Engineers while promoting Quality Engineering best practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

‍

- Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or any related four-year course.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering, including leadership of testing teams in Agile and cross-functional environments.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, Quality Engineering principles, test strategy development, risk-based testing, test coverage analysis, and quality metrics.
- Strong programming and scripting skills using modern programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Python, C#, or equivalent technologies.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated testing, API testing, and performance testing solutions.
- Experience testing Web, Mobile, Enterprise, Cloud, SaaS, or integrated business applications.
- Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and collaborative source control environments.
- Experience using test management and defect management platforms.
- Knowledge of SQL, data validation techniques, and AI-assisted testing tools.

What technical skills are required for software testers at your company?
