Mobile Apps Testing
CHEQ ONDEMAND
We have been implementing a special testing framework for Mobile Apps Development. Our heuristics include Long-Fun Cup Model, Data-Type Attacks, Localization, Device/OS/Browser Compatibility, Memory Leakage Management and Interrupts, to name a few.
We have tested mobile apps based on Android and iOS, and mobile web apps thru native browsers, Chrome, Safari and Firefox mobile.
We have a variable list of different mobile devices, curated based on Form Factor, Display, and OS versions. We also test for Network Compatibility and Network Types (3G, 4G, WIFI, Hotspots at different bandwidths and locations).
Mobile devices have become a staple in every individual’s life. It is important to make sure that your applications will work as smoothly as your users need them to. Mobile application testing isn’t as simple as making sure that your application opens up. In order to ensure that your mobile application can be used smoothly and efficiently, various tests need to be done.
Installation
These tests are mainly done to see if the application can be installed and uninstalled properly. Installation testing is also concerned with making sure that updates to the application can be installed without interruptions or errors. This also tackles what can happen if the user chooses not to update the application.
Functional
These tests focus on making sure that your application can deliver on its main purpose. The flow and the features of the application are checked to see if they are responsive. Put simply, functional tests ensure your application actually functions correctly. This is the initial step because whether your application works well or not will determine if your users will keep or uninstall the application.
Compatibility
There are millions of mobile devices out there. Each user will most likely have different devices and network environments. These tests are important to make sure your application will work on popular devices, various OS and versions, network environments, and internal specifications. Without compatibility testing, you could risk not being able to launch on certain devices, missing features, or even lose money.
Performance
When creating a mobile application, it is understood that you would want to reach as many users as possible on an easily accessible device. In order to keep a large userbase, you will need to make sure that your application won’t malfunction or crash due to the influx of commands and workload. As examples, your application should be tested if a heavy workload will slow the application down and/or create delays in data transfers.
Usability
Also known as user experience testing, these tests determine how user-friendly your application is. The more user-friendly, the more likely you’ll get more stars from your users.
This type of testing usually revolves around determining bugs, as well as finding ways to better improve your user interface.
Localization
This tests your application’s adaptive features designed to target intended local markets and local networks. To be chosen over competitors, a fully localized application’s features must work consistently with the intended userbase’s preferences.
